Actually, it doesn't quite "fit easily" into the trapdoor bay. I had to pull my 1200 apart just because the fit was so tight. It took me almost 30 minutes just to get it installed. But after that I had no problems, the software installed easily and away I went. What's really nice about the 1260 is that you can add any 72 Pin SIMM into it for full expansion of your 1200, it will take up to 64Meg's.
Of course what other use than games would you have for a 060 accelerator for in your A1200? (Execpt since the 1200 is very portable, for on the road demo's of LightWave or something similar) And it sure does crank out the power for games. I've run Alien Breed 3D side by side on a stock 1200 and a 1260, and I wondered how I could have possibly played it earlier. The difference is just so great, the best comparison is between a large turtle and brand new Ferrari Maranello. The shear increase of speed is amazing, it actually makes Gloom, Alien Breed, and all those other 3D texture mapped games run at real time framerates.
If there's any game or application that you're upset at because it just takes so long for it to run. Then you're solution may be the 1260. It'll make everything run at the speed it should, and dom't think that normal games will suddenly become to fast to play because that's not true. Everything will run at the speed it should be running at.
